Chateau Vartely

Château Vartely is a winery with its own accommodation on the edge of Orhei, on Eliberării street, less than half an hour from the cave complex at Orheiul Vechi. That combination — a tasting in the evening, a monastery in the rock in the morning — is the main reason to consider it. Besides the rooms, there is a restaurant, a sauna and breakfast included. Parking is free, both on the grounds and on the street, and the entrance and parking spaces are wheelchair-accessible. It is one of the soundest bases for a two- or three-day route through the central region.
