Public transport
Chișinău has a network of buses, trolleybuses and minibuses (maxi-taxis). A ticket costs about 3-4 MDL (€0.15-0.20).
Taxis and ride-hailing
Taxis are very affordable. The apps to use:
- Yandex Go — the most widely used
- inDriver — an alternative where you negotiate the fare
A ride across the city usually costs 30-60 MDL (€1.50-3).
Car hire
Cars can be hired from about €25 a day. Traffic in Chișinău can be chaotic, but outside the capital the roads are relatively clear.
On foot
Central Chișinău is easy to cover on foot. From the Cathedral Park to the Central Market is about a 15-minute walk.
From the airport
The airport is about 15 km from the centre. Your options:
- Taxi: about 100-150 MDL (€5-8)
- Bus 30: about 3 MDL (€0.15)
