Mileștii Mici
Mileștii Mici holds the Guinness world record for the largest wine collection in the world — over 2 million bottles, kept in underground galleries that run for roughly 200 km.
Unlike Cricova, Mileștii Mici makes its impression through the sheer scale and quiet of its galleries. Time seems to have stopped here — endless rows of barrels and decades-old bottles stretch as far as you can see, in a half-darkness that stops you short.
The constant temperature of 12-14°C and the ideal humidity make these galleries a natural vault for ageing wine. The collection includes exceptional red wines, with an emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the native variety Feteasca Neagră.
