Conacul "Zamfir Ralli-Arbore"

At Dolna, a village in Strășeni district surrounded by the Codri forests, stands the preserved manor house of the Ralli-Arbore boyar family, the place where Aleksandr Pushkin stayed during his exile in Bessarabia in 1820. Today it operates as a museum, with a manor interior and a park around it. It is one of the few ensembles of its kind open to the public in Moldova and, thanks to its natural setting, one of the most enjoyable day trips from Chișinău.

Getting there

Dolna is in Strășeni district, roughly 50 km from Chișinău, in the heart of the Codri — around an hour by car on roads that narrow on the final stretch. A car is the practical option; public transport struggles to reach village level, and returning the same day requires planning. Parking is in front of the site. When to go

The museum is closed on Mondays; Tuesday to Saturday it runs from 10:00 to 16:00, and on Sunday from 08:30 to 16:00. The day ends early, so set out from Chișinău in the morning.
